Cloud Sync via WebDAV
Safe can sync your database with any cloud that supports the WebDAV protocol — including NAS devices, Nextcloud, Yandex.Disk, and many other services.
Open database settings
- Android / iOS: Settings → Databases → tap the database name
- Windows / Mac: Options → Databases → Actions (for the database)
Then select Configure cloud → Another cloud (via WebDAV).
Choose a provider
Open the Cloud dropdown and pick your provider from the preset list. If yours isn't listed, choose Custom.
Note: Preset clouds come with server settings pre-filled — you only need to enter your credentials.
Enter your credentials
Fill in your User name and Password for the WebDAV account.
Note: Some providers (e.g. Yandex.Disk) don't allow your main account password for third-party apps. You'll need to generate a dedicated app password in your cloud account settings and use that here.
Configure the address
For preset clouds, the server address is filled in automatically.
For the Custom option, fill in all address fields manually according to your cloud or NAS documentation.
If your server requires a specific folder path, fill in the Local path field and confirm the resulting URL shown below it looks correct.
Note: Some services require your username to be part of the host address in the format
{username}.host-url. Check your provider's WebDAV documentation if you're unsure. If the connection fails
- Double-check all credentials and address fields
- Make sure WebDAV is enabled on the server side (some NAS devices and services have it turned off by default)
- If using an app password, confirm it was copied correctly
